Features include a large well-equipped kitchen/diner, king room downstairs, double and twin rooms upstairs, plus a cosy sitting room with woodburner, comfy sofas and a Smart TV. Plus a study, games and fibre wifi.
BEDS - We provide hotel quality Egyptian cotton bedding and towels for guests. The house price includes bedding for 6 people (1 king bed, 1 double bed and 2 single beds). No more than 6 guests in total are allowed.
CHILDREN - This property is suitable for very young children as there is no stair gate or guard for the fire..... Please contact us if you do not believe this is an issue for your group. We can provide a travel cot and bed guard for £5.
FOOD & DRINK - We provide tea and coffee making materials but not milk (as everyone likes different things). We do not provide breakfast however we send you the contact details for all the shops and restaurants in the area as soon as your booking is confirmed.
FACILITIES - There is an American fridge / freezer, gas and electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine and drier as well as a smart TV and there are lots of books and games.
WIFI & MOBILES - WiFi is available in the property. Mobile reception is patchy (depending on your network provider).
ACCESSIBILITY
The property has no steps to access the ground floor and king bedroom however the other two bedrooms are upstairs.
PETS
The property is pet friendly for a single well behaved dog - we even provide a treat tin for them!
There is a securely fenced garden (suitable to contain a medium to large dog but not an escape artist!) and cattle grid but please let us know if you are bringing a dog so we can do additional cleaning for the next guests.
Dog mess bags are also available so please clean up after your dog in the garden area.
Please do not let animals on any of the furniture or upstairs.
We do not charge an additional cleaning fee for pets however we will charge if additional cleaning is required after your stay.
Guests have access to the entire property and fenced garden.
Vehicles can be parked at the side and at the rear of the property - so unpacking is easy!
The house is up an short uneven track but is suitable for all vehicle excluding perhaps very low sports cars.
We operate a self check in and check out service and will email / text your unique passcode for the keysafe where the key is stored.
We are happy to arrange to meet guests if they are worried about using the self check in system.
We will also provide a contact number to call if there are any issues.
There is a book of local walks in the property along with an OS map.
Easy access to forest, cliff top and beach walks.
Short drive to Bettyhill Post Office / convenience shop and both the Farr Bay Inn and Bettyhill Hotel (bar / restaurant) and Farr beach.
Approx 5 miles to the village of Tongue and its shops / post office / fuel / hotels (bar / restaurants).
Day trips to Orkney, John o' groats as well Durness are possible.
Approx 1 miles to the NC500 route.
This is a great location for walking and cycling but is harder (but not impossible!) to access without a car of some kind having few scheduled buses.
This is a very quiet and peaceful property on a remote road with very little traffic.
This is a great property to take a rest from camping or hostels and get a good nights sleep and get your clothes washed and dried.
Well behaved dogs are very welcome - we even provide a treat tin for them!
Dog poop bags are also available so please clean up after your dog in the garden area. Please do not let animals on any of the furniture. We do not charge an additional cleaning fee for pets however we will charge if additional cleaning is required after your stay.
